Donation and Fund Drive at The Playhouse

There's a donation and fund drive at The Playhouse, a preschool in Montojo Street, Brgy. Tejeros, Makati. People living nearby who'd like to donate to victims of calamities but don't have time to go to charity houses, or the Sagip-Kapamilya at ABS-CBN, GMA, and other entities that are accepting donations, can leave donations to The Playhouse at Montojo Street corner Primo Rivera St. (past Pasong Tirad coming from Pasong Tamo). All  proceeds will be turned over to Gawad Kalinga and World Vision.

You may donate relief goods (common medicine, diapers, easy to prepare food, footwear, used clothes, blankets). They also accept junk items, such as paper, bottles, broken appliances/electronics, which they can convert to cash. Also, they will be organizing a bazaar soon to  raise funds. So you can also donate items (in good and working conditions) which they can sell in the school-sponsored bazaar.

I really admire their efforts to help out. The school had to alter the UN celebration and trick or treat which usually happen this month to discourage spending for costumes so parents can channel the resources to help instead.They even had to forego activities which they planned for the Teacher's Day to donate the allocated budget to the fund drive.
