Singapore trip itinerary for the family

If you guys are planning  for a short bonding moment with the your family in Singapore, here is my suggested itinerary. This one was planned out actually as a treat for kids. But it's definitely great for parents as well.

Day 1

Get an early morning flight to Singapore so you can maximize your first day. The idea is to have time to move around, get to know the train system. The kids' enthusiasm is highest in the first day so capitalize on it and let them explore by riding the train. Let them also navigate for you, they'll like it. Then, take a rest in the hotel prior to going on an afternoon city tour.

City Tour:
1. Orchard Road (Walk along Orchard Road and check out local street foods of Singapore!)
2. Esplanade (Ride a train going to Esplanade)
3. Dine around Espalanade
4. Merlion

Day 2
1. Singapore Zoo (during the day)
2. Night Safari! (at night)
These two are neighbors so hit the two in a day!
Musts:
1. Bring extra clothes for the kids, bring swimwear coz there's a great place for kids inside the Singapore zoo where they can get really wet.
2. Check out the skeds of the elephant ride and various shows.Don't miss those out.
3. Try feeding the giraffes ($5?), the kids will love it.

Day 3
Universal Studios
You need a day to go around the entire Universal Studios. Though it's really small compared to say, Disney Sea, it's already big enough for kids (like kids aged 5 and 9) to get crazy about. Don't forget to bring sunblock lotion. It's really hot.
