The picturesque rural Japan

I can say I'm more deeply impressed with the quiet, rural Japan than the more popular high-tech side of Japan.

It is so peaceful and the people, though cannot speak English, are warm and very nice. It is amazing how the Japanese people have kept its culture in tact amidst globalization.

What is even more impressive is how it is able to protect and preserve its environment. It's lakes and rivers are so clear. I've seen this in our tour on the Fuji Five Lakes before.

Preserving the environment remains the biggest task which developing countries seemed to have forgotten or outrightly neglected all for the sake of economic progress. :(
