This post
serves as a guide to those people who are planning to get a house and lot here
in Cerritos Trails. We moved here just September last year and though it was
not easy at first, coming from the ever convenient Makati City, we found
ourselves getting by slowly each day and eventually liking and loving the
place. I’d like to share some information on schools, nearest hospital, shopping
areas, churches, public utility going to Metro Manila.
Cerritos
Trails in the second phase of Camella’s Cerritos subdivision, it’s farther from
the main road than the Phase 1. It is also bigger and more spacious than the
first phase. The Camella Cerritos is located within the Camella Meadows and
Springville communities, about 10 to 15 minutes drive from Alabang.
Tricycles
are everywhere. The fare from inside Cerritos to the Springville gate is P35-P40.
From SM Molino to inside the village is P70.
To Makati: The terminals for GT express vans (both
Makati and Pasig) are located near the Springville gate. They operate mostly
during weekdays and up to around 11 am only. The vans pass through Daang Hari Rd., then
Alabang, going to the skyway and exits at the Makati Exit (Amorsolo Street). Another
option going to Makati is to ride vans going to Lawton (wait at the shed across
the little market), then alight in Buendia.
From Makati: The terminal of GT vans is located near the
Jaka Bldg. & Standard Chartered Bank, ask for the vans going to Queensrow,
Pag-asa or Golden. All of them pass through Meadows and Springville. Another
terminal is located in the parking area near SM Makati, corner Ayala Ave. and
EDSA (look for the signage Camella-Skyway).
Where to
shop: Palengke is just 5-8 minutes drive
from Cerritos. It is located opposite the Springville gate. SM Molino is just 5
minutes away from the Springville Gate, during rush hours. There are
drugstores, LPG stations, and water refilling stations inside Springville. There’s
also a convenience store right at the gate of Cerritos Trails.

Pediatrician:

drivers).
Nearest hospital (or one that I
know of):
Metro South, about 10 minutes away from the
Springville gate, with 24-hour laboratory.
Nearest Catholic Church: Queensrow, 10 minutes drive from Cerritos. There’s
also a chapel near the Bacoor Coliseum, there are 8am and 9am mass schedules on
Sundays there.
hi! Thank you for this very informative blog! I'll be moving to this area soon and your article helps a lot:)I just wanted to ask about public transportation...my helper wants to continue her studies so would you know if it will be hard for her to commute to and from school? Seems like the shuttle only operates during the day...are there any jeepneys along daanghari? Thanks:)
ReplyDeleteI am sorry this is a super delayed response. There are multi-cabs along Daang Hari Rd., they operate to and from Alabang. You can use those, but they may not be frequent. Many people in our place have motorcycle/scooter to use as service if you don't have a car. Good luck!
DeleteHi, your blog was very helpful. i was looking for a school for my son and came across your blog. would you happen to know how much is the tuition fee at the Montessori dei San Lorenzo for nursery and kinder? thanks in advance
ReplyDeleteHi there! The current tuition fee for pre-school is around P22,800. You can down as low as P7,850 (about that amount) upon enrolment, it excludes books and uniform. (Disclaimer: Prices may change anytime.)Thanks for your comment
ReplyDeletehello guys,
ReplyDeleteAppreciate your advise & suggestion
we already paid a reservation fee of 15k pesos at ceritos trails for 77 sq.meter (lot area) with Rina house model 40 sq.meter (floor area).
- this is a vacant lot (non RFO)at lot 2.
- we had decided to choose rina house model instead of marvela model w/ 52 sq.meter floor area.
- since the TCP of rina is less 500k compared to marvela.
- and also monthly amortization for rina is 17k while marvela is 22k for 15 years with a difference of 866k.
- my plan is just to make my own extension and house improvement for rina house model as the lot area is 77k.
- to transfer and create extension of dinning / kitchen so that i can have my own living room / sala.
- i think it will just cost me around 150 to 200k.
Thanks in advance for your help...
Regards,
Arlene & Mervin
Hi! Wow! You made the right choice. We may become neighbors then. Your decision is great. You can just develop an extension later. There are already a lot of homeowners who did that. Just a note, make sure your design is approved so you can avoid inconveniences later.:)Welcome!
ReplyDeleteHi! I want to ask if there are still vans going to Ortigas at that terminal you mentioned in your article? Thank you. : )
ReplyDeleteHi Aubrey, good thing I saw your blog about Cerritos Trails. We have a unit there and it was turned-over to us last 2010, but unfortunately due to emergencies and unexpected expenses, we are still unable to furnish our house. But we pay a visit every month or two just to clean the house. Hopefully we can transfer there in 2014 finally. would like to ask if you have contacts of contractors, recommended for furnishing and landscaping?
ReplyDeleteThanks
hi! I thought I saw you around the subdivision just a few weeks ago. you were with your two boys waiting for the shuttle.. :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I found your blog after doing a Google search about my daughter's school (Harrell Horne Integrated School). As regards Catholic churches, there's another one in Daang Reyna (near Portofino) and another within our village--it's Sto Nino de Molino parish church.
ReplyDeleteJust for info. :)
Hi! Thanks for sharing this wonderful review about Camella Cerritos. We're planning to but an affordable home for sale from Camella with this website www.vistalandinternational.com. Hmm, after reading some good reviews, I'm convinced.

ReplyDeleteHello Aubrey,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog while researching about Camella Cerritos and Lessandra. I have a unit a Lessandra and it was still on renovation mode. I hope we can move in soon.
My husband and I just bought a house here. It looks like a really warm village. We talked to some of our neighbours already and we're really excited to live there! There were a lot of kids playing around. It looks very safe and well-maintained. Your blog really helped a lot. :) Just wanted to say thank you!

ReplyDeleteSo how's Camella Cerritos now? Is it still being maintained? No water shortages? no leaks inside the house? still being guarded and no burglary? Pool is still being cleaned? Street lights still working? I am asking this because I believe some Camella Communities are not very lucky like how you describe it here.
