Speak up and grab this!

I've been feeling inspired these days (or did you noticed?) because I've received nice feedback from friends who were obliged to visit my site (lol!) through my endless campaign at Facebook. So I want to give out something. It's not much but it's so pretty and with nostalgic meaning to me 'cause I bought this from one of my favorite cities- Seoul. It's a purse, big enough for your face powder, or your coins, (and it's new, lol). I've given its sisters only to my two bestfriends. I bought it from an unforgettable shopping street in Seoul -  Insadong. I really like to go back there. It's full of nice Korean things - antiques and not. It's more than just shopping, it's enjoying the atmosphere - the likes of living your favorite Korean Drama, walking about those alleys and shops. Oh, I'll post about that again later (coz I'm still not over it).

Fancy streets of Seoul

My journey in Seoul continues in photos.

I just can't help but remember how I've loved passing by its streets, fancy and adorned. In this urban city, people try to find ways to brighten up the surroundings. And what's better to do than put flower pots here and there? The result? Just pure fanciness. So "I like."

The Ewha Womans University Campus

The Ewha Womans University in Seoul was gracious enough to have hosted the 12th International Convention of the East Asian Economic Association of which I've been a part of. My impressions? The people are warm and courteous, the convention well organized, and the usherettes are very approachable and they are all pretty (just like those in the famous Kdramas!)
The campus of Ewha is dreamy especially during fall season. The colors are a great contrast to its hi-tech structures.

My Seoul-ful Journey

Last October, I attended a conference in Seoul, South Korea.
The experience was like a dream coming true.
I didn't realize it until I could smell the fresh cool scent of the busy Seoul.
An avid fan of Korean drama, I've always wished of being in the Namsan Tower or the Royal Palace, eat kimchi in a traditional way, or just be among crowds of stylish Koreans.

A few tips for traveling to Seoul. Keep your itinerary simple so you can savor every minute of your trip. You may avail of guided tours but I suggest you explore the city on your own.The transport system is very easy to navigate. For one who has been to Tokyo, that of Seoul should be easy. To see- the old palaces/villages of Seoul are everywhere. You may choose only 2 or 3. You wouldn't want to spend your entire two days for those. To shop, I would go back to Insadong over and over again if I have the chance. It's so full of pretty things, old and new. You can find nice souvenir items- from Korean made to China made ones.

Gyeongbokgung Palace (Royal Palace) made me feel as if I were part of the Goong drama (Princess Hours).

 Do eat the Korean way. Enjoy authentic Korean cuisine. It was one of the best food trips I have ever experienced!

Do check out the schedules of "changing of the guards" in the palaces. You get an experience of the old Korea.

 Explore the streets of Seoul, they have lots of pretty things to offer. I especially like this bench below with all the flowers and light, it's so romantic.

 Lastly, eat and drink (if you can) like the Koreans do! I'd do it again if I can. Annyeong!
